Orders

How an order moves from new to delivered.

Every order goes through the same statuses. The order page only offers the moves that make sense from where the order is, so an order can never skip a step or come back from a final state.

Status Means Can move to
New Just placed, nobody has called the customer yet Confirmed, Unreachable, Cancelled
Unreachable The customer didn’t answer; try again Confirmed, Unreachable, Cancelled
Confirmed The customer confirmed on the phone Shipped, Cancelled
Shipped Handed to the courier Delivered, Returned
Delivered The courier delivered it and collected the cash Returned (a late return still happens)
Returned Refused or sent back —
Cancelled Stopped before shipping —

New and Unreachable orders are the ones waiting on a phone call. The Call Center in the admin puts them in a queue: an agent starts the next order, calls, and marks it Confirmed, Unreachable or Cancelled. Keyboard shortcuts keep it quick.

A confirmed order is a promise; a delivered one is cash. That is why Sworen keeps booked and realised revenue apart.
