Requirements
What your server needs before you install Sworen.
Sworen is self-hosted: it runs on your own server, and your license covers the domain your store answers on.
Server
Section titled “Server”- Linux, x86_64 or arm64 (aarch64), with glibc (Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL…) or musl (Alpine).
- PHP 8.4.1 or later (8.4 or 8.5, the standard NTS build) with these extensions:
intl,mbstring,zip,gd,bcmath,pdo,fileinfo,openssl, andpdo_sqliteorpdo_mysql. - OPcache is recommended: Sworen keeps its compiled route table there.
- Redis is optional, for cache and sessions on a busy store.
- A PHP that can load extensions:
php -i | grep extension_dirmust show a directory. Static single-binary PHP builds (Laravel Herd, some “portable” PHPs) can’t load extensions, and Sworen does not run on them.
Database
Section titled “Database”- SQLite is fine for one small store.
- MySQL or MariaDB for anything bigger.
Network
Section titled “Network”The server must reach https://license.sworen.com over HTTPS. That is how the free trial starts and how the license is checked once a day.
